Success Story of Saiyam Mahajan

Saiyam Mahajan

I am Saiyam Mahajan from Delhi. Since childhood, I have always been interested in computers and that was the reason I took up Science in 11th & 12th class. I felt that Science would give me a greater opportunity to contribute to a better tomorrow through the smallest of acts.

After 12th; just like any student, I was really confused about what to pursue & which college or university to choose for higher education? One day, I read in the newspaper about an education fair at a place in New Delhi. Interestingly, I went there with my parents but was nearly disappointed finding no college or university good enough to help me explore my potential. But in the end, I chanced to land at the stall of MMDU offering B.Tech in Computer Science with specialization in Software Development course. The name of the course urged me to go meet the staff present there once. Convincingly, I knew that this course would take me to greater heights & that’s why in a month, I was enrolled into this esteemed university. I am glad to be a part of MMDU which offers perfect blend of academics, extra-curricular activities. The course which I am currently pursuing requires me to act as an intern at a fictional company called ACE Enterprises where I report to Managers instead of professors. One other cool feature of this course that the students will love is that the course teaches you the subjects that will be needed for the future world & makes you a professional ready for corporate world.

For me, college life at MMDU has been an overwhelming experience. The university has given me an opportunity to learn new things everyday & showcase my skills, talents through fests, regular healthy competitions. Along with computers, music & football are the other things that I am passionate about. Being here for six months, I have participated in music, football competitions here & the exposure one gets is overwhelming. My achievements in these six months includes winning Inter-College Football Tournament, selected for the final round for MMDU Singing Idol (a university based singing competition), winning a MUN (Model United Nations) competition at DU where I represented MMDU.

Overall, I believe my whole perspective on life has changed after joining this university. The experience has made me more creative and taught me how to manage my personal and professional life. Here, I’ve recognized my strengths and weaknesses and learnt how to convert my weakness in to strength. I hope to make the years left in my course a memorable experience.
